Holly's Story
Who am I? I went to Daniel Hand High School through the Junior year as Holly Olson and then my father decided to sell the house and move to St. Petersburg, Florida for my senior year where I graduated in a class of 1500 students. Needless to say I was not happy and left friends behind and people I would like to find again. I married David Schumann on June 26, 1971 in St. Pete and moved back to Madison CT right after the wedding. Had three children. Now I am a mother of three grown men who have children. I raised my sons by myself from a young ages of 4,6,10 after a divorce. Attained my Associates Degree in Nursing and worked in VT, NH and ME as a RN for 21 years. During the years as a nurse I worked in hospitals, home health agencies, clinics, schools and educational facilities. I owned a home in Randolph, VT for 8 years and moved to ME for 5 years and then back to Vermont. Did a lot of outdoor activities with my children. Then they left and had their own lives. ive from VT to Florida. Now I am a retired/disabled nurse due to a TBI (traumatic brain injury) from a man paying attention to his cup of coffee and not to someone on their motorcycle at a stop light just starting up heading to work. I have completed my BSN in Business Administration and am in the process of purchasing another home in Coventry, Vermont where I will be opening up a Massage Therapy Business specializing in Reiki and Reflexology. I still love the outdoors and gardening. I have a beautiful Wire Haired Fox Terrier named Cinnamon who just had pups on November 3. My Australian Budgie who is 9 in January is called 'Mo'. My son John lives with me right now and that's ok. He's my youngest: 27. He helps me quite a bit. I love my sons very much. Raising them alone was no piece of cake and we had our good times and our bad times but I am very proud of all of them.
