Ericka's Story
I always wanted to be a journalist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were mistaken.
My favorite way to relax would be to cook a big meal for the family or lay around and watch movies or maybe just some US-time with my husband.
The wildest thing I ever did in high school was something I care not to mention. I was young and dumb back then and craving attention.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my own space, my mp3 player, and a cup of joe to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
In my short life span I have accumulated a great many heroes. You know those people who cross your path and impress upon you some great words that you carry with you every day. My inspiration comes from knowing that there are still some good people out there who you don't know wh...Expand for more
o will listen to you and that you can learn from without even knowing there is a lesson for you to learn that day. The world is a great place you just have to surround yourself with good friends and family to keep yourself grounded.
In the year 1990 I stayed in Houston for a short while then moved to Alabama for the holidays and on through to the Mardi Gras parades. By the year 1991 I found myself in San Francisco, CA. I fooled around there for about two and a half years until my first child was born. It was a boy. He was beatifully handsome if I may say so myself. Soon aftere his birth I felt one of those California earthquakes and I was outta there. I moved (permanently) Mobile, Al. I've been here ever since and I think I might stay until my last child goes off to college or whatever she decides to do with her life.
