Thomas's Story

After graduation, I took a deep breath, wiped the dust off my feet and plunged head first into adulthood. I had a rough go of it at first, a few dead end jobs here, a minor brush with the law there (DWI before the laws got real tough), and then got picked up by Goulds Pumps in 1990. I've been working at Goulds as a machinist for the last 18 years, and have been involved in local union politics for the past 10 years. I've tried my hand at sketch art, graphic arts, and now music - playing guitar (see my videos at youtube.com username:1millionthcustomer. you think. I only drink at special occasions, I don't do drugs - life can tend to mess you up enough without the help of those things, and i've been smoke free now for 6 years. The bank and I own a house on the cayuga-seneca canal and a boat to enjoy the lakes. Over the years I've lost weight, found it again, lost it again, and found it one more time, hoping to lose it again. Over the years I've lost quite a bit of my hair - one thing I would LIKE to find again and, try as you might, thats something you can't find once its lost :(. I'm hoping to retire no older than 60 so I can enjoy life a little before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
