Amber's Story
After Graduation in 1997, I went on to sing and dance in the USA show at Lagoon Ent. Park as a featured performer. Then, I got married to Shane Clarke (FHS Class of 1995) and worked at a lot of different places....never really feeling happy or satisfied. In 2005, my son was born! I was working for the Yellow Pages as an Account Executive with over 200 accts. I was responsible for...and my son had to come first. So, I left the corporate world and I've never looked back! I began looking for dance classes for adults at every gym and spa and studio in Utah, but to no avail. I then created Cardio-Dance and Cardio-Cabaret, which is still used in a few studios in the N. ). Now, I teach dance for adults age 18 and over and own 2 successful businesses. Cadence Dance Company is the one I'm most proud of. Shane is currently going to school for Massage Therapy and Body Work at Eagle Gate College and will graduate in June of this year. He already has a job offer at a doctor's office in Layton. My son is in the 2nd Grade and doing well. I am enjoying being a business owner and teacher and have also recently connected with the United Artists Foundation and the Leonardo in SLC, to teach an on-going 12 week course study in Aerial Basics and raise awareness of the importance of the arts in our schools! I am excited and honored to serve my community in this way and happy to share my talent for dance as well.
