Rachel Neal:  

My story... After dropping out of Truman State (Accounting major) following my marriage to Lynn Neal (high school sweetheart), I floated for about 2 years until we had our oldest child (daughter who is now 18). Went back to school, but moved around alot--from MACC to UMC to UMR. Finally settled down in Rolla, MO for 7 years where I graduated with a BS and then a PhD in Chemistry. We added our son (15 yrs) to the family during this time. Lynn received his BA in History with a certification to teach high school from UMR at the same time. We moved to Maryland in 1999 so I could do postdoctoral training at the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Lynn was a high school teacher in the premier public school system in the US (Montgomery County Maryland) at this time. We moved to Durham, NC in 2003 followed by a move to Bozeman MT in 2005 and a final (hopefully) move to Louisville KY in 2008 while I finished my training and began the early part of my faculty career. I am now an Assistant Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the University of Louisville.
