Andrea's Story
I am Andrea Neal. Formally Jones! I graduated from Haughton in 2003 and don't miss it too much! I love the adult life!! However, I do miss it sometimes..just rarely! What are my major stories since high school? I married the love of my life, Brandon Neal, from Sarepta, on March 31, 2007! Brandon and I have known each other since we were kids. We bought our very first home in May 2008 in Sarepta!! So I got to get AWAY from El Dorado and be really close to family and friends again! I love living in the country!!! On May 6, 2008 we found out that we were pregnant and were ecstatic!! On January 5, 2009 I gave birth to the most amazingly beautiful baby, Garrett Brandon Neal. He was 7 lbs. 4.5 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long! We love to watch him grow and do new things every day!
After high school, I started working in the dental field full-time. I started off doing reception work. I fell in love with dentistry! I attended BPCC for a year and a half at night. It was very hard on me because my parents moved to Georgia so I was living on my own..that's why I had to make work a priority so that I could pay my bills and such! Even though I was on my own, I still couldn't get a grant for coll...Expand for more
ege and my financial aid really screwed me over one semester...so I couldn't afford to go to school anymore..nor did I have any interest in college since I could only go at night and part-time only! So I stuck to the dentistry job and started working for the sweetest dentist ever, Dr. Larry Phillips! It was good paying and such a fun place. It was there that I started to expand my knowledge in dentistry and started helping assist! Unfortunately, I had to leave Dr. Phillips office after Brandon and I became serious and living together in 2005 because Brandon got a job offer in El Dorado, Arkansas and we were moving. I HATED El Dorado with a passion and am so thankful to be back home. But I did start to work as an assistant for an Oral Surgeon and loved it (just not most of the people I worked with)!!! Once we moved back down to Louisiana, we knew were expecting a baby and decided that I would be a stay-at-home Wife and Mommy and that is what I have ALWAYS dreamed of!!! So not finishing college was the BEST thing ever since I wouldn't be using that degree anyways... I'd be at home with my baby and yet having to pay back that stupid loan! Being a Mommy and Wife is the BEST job ever!
