Deborah's Story

I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a Chef while still in my 20's, and had the opportunity to work with the Premier Chefs of Italy and France before the age of 30! Health issues caused me to have to give up my chosen career and take a sit down job in my late 30's. But that's okay, at least I can say that I have fulfilled my dream! I don't have to look back years from now and say..."I wish I had enjoyed what I did to earn a living, I wish I could have done what I wanted to do instead of what I needed to do to make ends meet." It is my sincere hope that everyone can find their own chosen path to happiness in life. God Speed! Oct 2010...Life for me is "starting over" now... for the first time ever I am living on my own! So far I am content with life as it is, we shall see where this new phase takes me. The single life is treating me well...so far! I have met many new friends, and actually have a social life that I never had while married!!!! The best part is getting to do things that I like to do all the time, instead of rarely. What a difference. God how I love it! JUN 2013...WELL...I haven't updated in a while! I met a very nice man, and have been in a committed relationship with him for almost 2 years now. ...Expand for more
Much to my surprise I have found a great pleasure in the peaceful pastime of FISHING! Never liked it when I was younger, thought it was disgusting as many girls do. Now it is a chance to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle, and enjoy peaceful times with a loved one. This summer we have already spent two weeks in Minnesota fishing. Caught some Walleye, Northern, Bigmouth Bass, Crappie, and Sunfish....fish fry anyone??? Oh Yes...we also managed to acquire a Bear and a Minne, two 8 week old Black Labrador pups. Purebred brother and sister. Oh the joys of having two rambunctious puppies in the house....two puppies that were born in a barn and never saw the inside of a house until we brought them home! JAN 2015...I decided to try an Early Retirement, since the company that I worked for offered that option! I have discovered in the last 18 months that retirement at this age isn't what I really want!!! The dogs are driving me crazy, there is nothing left to clean in the house, and my friends are still working...UGH! Guess I need to get at least a part-time job before all of the schools let out for the summer and the kids take all the jobs. Can't wait to get to Minnesota this year though....the fishing was lousy last year.
