Ron's Story
It has been a long time when you thing of graduating at age 17 and now pushing 64. But that does not seem old anymore. Been an interesting ride and to think how the world has changed and advanced since I went to High School is hard to believe. University of Illinois, BA MS a stint in the military which sort of set my career. Other than a few years with the State I have been with the SSA for 35 years. I have been in several positions with SSA and have met many interesting people. Not really sure when I want to retire, first I though there would be no way I would work past age 59 but here it is 5 years later and still don't know what I want to do. Health is still good, I hope that continues. I think of good ole Enfield High quite often and the fun we all had. It was a time in my life that I will always cherish...Expand for more
with all of my heart because of all of the friends I had and the great people I had the priviledge of knowing. Enfield is not the town it used to be and neither is the Mule Day, but I do see it from a whole different perspective now, and when I pass through my memories go rather wild. The fun, the crazy things we did, the love we shared and the friendship I had with all of those High Schoolers helped me have a better outlook on life, and I am sure developed many good attributes for me toward life and people. It is all over now, but it will never be forgotten and neither will all of those great people I knew while in Enfield High. It is mostly memories now, but they are such great memories I love to share when I have a chance to do so. I would love to have anyone stop in and visit anytime. God Bless all of You.
