Susan 's Story

My parents are my heroes and my inspiration, they came to the United States from Germany in 1960 with only 5.00 in their pocket and my older brother and my mom could not speak any English. When my parents passed away in 2007, they were very successfull in their lifetime in the United States. I have lived in Franklin most of my life. My favorite way to relax is take a bubble bath and listen to some relaxing music. My best friend would tell you I'm wild and crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet. I share my home with my husband and with my yorkie poo, Bentley, which I find so much fun.I thought I would get a small house dog to relieve some stress and believe it or not, I think he has a bigger attitude than me, he actually talks back to me when he gets mad at me. I think I would surprise everyone at our high school reunion because in school I was very quiet and shy and now I am just the opposite from that, I say whats on my mind.embarrassing or not. A teacher I would really love to see is my driver's ed teacher, Mr. Daughtery. I was driving for the first time in that Caprice Classic and was going down Hillsboro Road and he told me I might need to look at the speedometer, I was going 70 mph and I didn't even know it, that big tank of a car floated like a boat down the highway. Needless to say I think I scared him to death and I didn't drive for a few weeks after that, I guess he needed to recover from that. A childhood memory that I will never forget is that I got my brother's friend's mini-bike and my dad told me not ride it and I did it anyway, to make a lot story short, I went over a 30 foot embankment, peed all over myself, broke my arm. I though my dad was going to let me have it, but he did'nt. Then I grew up and was interested in boys. My high school crush was Jeff Cook and I couldn't wait until in between classes so that I could see him, that just made my day. You know you should be careful what you wish for. I hurt my ankle years later after he became a orthopedic doctor and went to see him. Needless to say, he knew by then the crush I had on him, so we just laughed and I told him he still looked good and lord only knows I would have never said anything like that in high school because I was so shy. He fixed my ankle and that was the end of that. I am obsessed wit...Expand for more
h Grey's Anatomy and Facebook, what did I ever do without them? When I graduated from high school and continued to work at Williamson County Bank. I got married when I was 19 and had my daughter Brandi a year and a half later, decided I wanted to be a stay at home mom. That lasted for the 1st 6wks of her life (she cried everyday for I think the whole 6 wks Needless to say I didn't continue to stay at home. I went to work at our family business and had my son, Josh 6 years later, and to this date, I am still at our family business, which me and my 2 brothers are running. (Wurster's Foreign Car Repair) Our parents passed away 2007 and we are carrying on the family tradition and hope to pass the business down to our families in years to come so that we are able to retire in the caribbean somewhere. Aruba will be fine with me. My family and I have been through some tough stuggles the past 3 years, due to my stroke, I am fine now) my husband had complications due to an colonoscopy and almost died and is on disability now due to the complications. My mom and dad were in poor health for several years and I was trying to take care of them and also work full time, but every thing happens for a reason and what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger as they say and I am a much stronger person and have such a stonger faith now due to these things that have happened in my life. I do look at life differently now and don't take anything for granted. My motto now is LIVE WELL, LAUGH OFTEN, LOVE MUCH. I love to go on cruises, and have traveled almost all of the caribbean, (I LOVE IT, I THINK I COULD LIVE IN ARUBA) I haved asked that we open a 2nd location there, but I'm not getting to far with that. haha I hope you enjoyed my story and I didn't bore you to much, but that's pretty much my life......and now I am going to have a grandson in October 2009 YAY!!
