Thomas's Story
I live on the Alabama River south of Selma in Dallas County. We have been here since 1985. I am retired from the Alabama Forestry Commission and I am now working as a consulting forester. God has blessed me richly. My wife Leigh (Hornsby) graduated from Genva HS in 1974, we were married in 1982. Leigh is a hospital pharmacist in Selma. ed to Opp in 1974. I had moved a lot prior to that time and went to 11 schools in 12 years. Opp was the friendliest place I had ever lived. Both of my sons grew up here in Selma and had the opportunity to make lifelong friends in a small town. Despite my occasional association with some of Opps' misguided youth,I finally grew up and became a productive member of society and I am sure they did as well. (Ok, I am not sure about Robert M., Freddy C., or Harold B.)
