Thomas's Story
This is the only photo I have on my computer at this time. I retired from the Air Force in the grade of Chief Master Sergeant (27 years) in 1996, and the Postal Service in July of 2008 after 10 years. I'm now 59 years old and completely retired. My wife and I live in Live Oak, Texas - a suburb of San Antonio. I've traveled the world; lived on four continents, visited more than 150 countries, and 46 or our states. I have a bachelors degree in business administration, and a masters in organizational leadership. I supplement my retirement income via consulting, writing, speaking, seminar & problem solving facilitation....and occasionally freelance photography. I have many hobbies. They include martial arts (shotokan karate), writing poetry and essays, photography, listening to music (jazz, R&B, hip-hop, rock, and classical), playing the saxophone, meditating, and cooking. of 39 years, Annette, and I, have three adult daughters and four grandchildren. I'm in the process of forming a nonprofit music (jazz) education and support organization in San Antonio, and would like to eventually take it nationally. One of my biggest surprises in life is that I stayed in the Air Force so long. All I ever wanted to do was the minimum, then separate. But... I was married shortly after being drafted (Vietnam was with us then) and my wife had this weird thing about financial security (lol), being that we had a daughter and we were expecting our second one. I whoever reads this remembers me as someone they could depend on, trustworthy, honest, and fun loving. To jog your memory I played alto sax in the marching and concert bands, and the orchestra, was a member of the Future Scientists of America club, was skinny, shy (but liked to joke around), and wore glasses.
