Suzanne Korinke:  

The short story of a long life I left Shepherd in 1964 right after graduation and went to Columbus Business School in Columbus, Ohio; transferred to Ohio State University and then to Penn State University. In 1967 moved to Washington, D.C. and was recruited into IBM. I lived and worked in Washington, D.C., and New York City for seven years. In 1973, I met my husband who was also with IBM and we married in 1974, he was a San Francisco resident, so I moved to the West Coast. We lived and worked there moving to temporary assignments in other parts of the United States and international locations for a short period which included Iowa, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Singapore, and Paris. We remained San Francisco residents and always returned to our home there. I worked for IBM for 35 years and retired as VP of Complex Systems. It was a wonderful career, meeting many wonderful people, and traveling to incredible places. We had three wonderful sons and while my professional life was exciting and rewarding, our sons were the greatest achievement. They are wonderful people who taught us more than we taught them. They have gifted us with seven grandchildren and we adore sharing their lives with them.
