Nicole's Story
I have been living in the UP for the last 11 years. I miss home like crazy!! I live in a very small town where you have to think up your own things to do :] I do love it here. I just bought a 6 bedroom house last year with 10 acres and a big old barn. We have our 4H pigs out there and plan to get some beef and a few horses within the next few years. We are a half mile from Lake Michigan and spent a lot of time out there last summer. I work at the school full time as a...well, I do a little bit of everything, part secretary, media specialist, intervention coordinator...I also work at a group home every other weekend (until summer, then it is my part time job-I love the people there so I couldn't just leave it) with mentally and physically challenged adults. onderful children, my oldest, Blaire, just finished her first year of college and is living back in West Branch with family (yes, I am jealous!) ; Linz is 14, just finished her freshman year of high school and is 5'11" and still growing!! she does volleyball, track, and basketball; Bryce is 11 just finished 5th grade, as tall as his 19 year old sister and almost as tall as his 14 year old sister, he plays football, basketball, baseball, and is an avid hunter and fisherman; Meg is 8 and finished 2nd grade, she is my animal lover, she plays flag football, basketball, and little league, she is so funny and I wish she would always stay her age now!!; and our English Mastiff is almost 7, she is THE BEST dog I have ever had!! I have THE MOST AMAZING man in my life(again) and am so thankful for the opportunity to love him again!! Looking forward to summer and enjoying the beach!!
