Kim's Story

My Professional History After high school, I attended two small liberal arts colleges (New College in Sarasota and Eckerd College in St. Pete) before getting serious about my education. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 1984 with a chemical engineering degree and worked briefly in industrial sales (3 years) before getting serious about my career (is there a trend here? ;-). I started working for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Region 4 office in Atlanta, Georgia in January 1988. rams: implementing the regulations governing hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities; investigating and cleaning up abandoned hazardous waste sites listed on the Superfund National Priorities List; establishing the Clean Air Act Title V permitting program for major sources of air pollution; setting limits on pollutant loads entering surface water bodies in Florida; and overseeing state programs for regulating petroleum underground storage tanks.
