Allison's Story
After N.E. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, finished High School, took college classes for a year and then worked for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce in the Governmental Affairs Department for 4 years. I then worked for a D.C. lobbying firm running the Atlanta office for another 3 years.
In 1989 I married my husband, Bill, who was an Army officer. This was the beginning of our Army adventure. We lived in Germany, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Virginia, Kansas, Washington State, Tennesse, Virginia and now Georgia again (Peachtree City since 2006). Bill recently retired after 22 years of service. He is currently doing work for the pentagon in Iraq.
We have three children; Amy(17), Carolyn(15) and David(10). They keep me very busy with all their activities and shenanigans. Amy will graduate this spring and attend Savannah College of Art and Design.
Carolyn is a great student and is busy with State and National Honor Chorus th...Expand for more
is year. Carolyn was invited to sing in the national chorus at the American Choral Director's Association convention this March in Oklahoma City. My sister, Jessica, and I are going to travel with her.
David is our Rock and Roll aficionado. He is shocked to learn that his sweet old mother has attended concerts and knows the words to his favorite rock songs. :) He is also involved in cub scouts, karate and learning to play guitar.
Bill and I love to garden and cook together. We always have an herb garden and we grow vegetables in the summer. When the weather is nice we can be found outside messing around with the gardens. We also like to walk on the golf cart trails in our community and sit outside and people (and dog) watch.
Other interests are reading, yoga, volunteering, being outside in the fresh air and talking.
We love Georgia and are so happy to be close to family again. We hope to stay here for a very long time.
