Yvonne's Story

I always wanted to be a helper when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I enjoy traveling abroad most of all but also being at home. Listening to music, gardening and walking my dog can be added to the list. Dining out and talking with friends is a favorite as well. I love classical music type music, concerts especially the summer/park BLUES. I was very low key in school the NUNS kept us in line for the most part. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have independence, flexiability, and fairness to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My mother is my hero she worked very hard to provide for me as I grew up. Mother instilled in me to believe in myself, no one owes me anything, God is my Savior and Lord, I have the capability to get an education to do whatever I desire. She would say, "God bless the child who has his own. My mother has and will always be my hero due to her daily encouragement and examples. I am who I am today through Mother's support and guidance. I have lived in several states over the years but my last 25 years has been in California. The military and family played a part in my moves. I don't think I have an obsession---I enjoy traveling, shopping, my dog---- I have matured and grown mentally but I am still much like I grow up. I had one close friend as a younger but have always been a loner. I am suprise I never re-married. If I could improve my ...Expand for more
home, I'd remodel my bathroom and add on a spa tub. My dream home would be comfortable, with a large yard for gardening, cooking out (fish & Bar-B-Q) and family visits. Our children are loan to us to love, guide and support---and we set them free to grow and develop. There is nothing that compares to being a Mom, unconditional love. Parenting is one of the hardest things to do trial and error. I would love to see all of my old teachers but I guess I will need to wait for most of them, now. Mother Therasa Vincent was my favorite. If I won $100 million, I'd give $30 million to educating the children in my family , then spend the rest on charities for children of HIV, postox, neglect and abuse, homeless projects, that dream home and travel, travel. I did not live in a dorm but in a WAF barrack in the military. Three roommates, I enjoyed it most times--I would love to see these people who have touched my life again. I would like to spend more time with my mother as she is getting older. I would like to share more time with her while she is still active to do girl stuff. My current age is young. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. My first crush I believe is deceased but it was best it was only a crush. That was not to be part of my future life. My best friend would tell you I'm fun to be with, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet.
