Sonya's Story
After graduating HS, I got married (to Danny) on Sep 15, 1984, lived in Trailmore Trailer Park off Dorchester Rd until Hurricane Hugo came thru and destroyed our little party shack! It also made us return early from Key West, FL, but we've manage to go back several times since. Worked at Chas Naval Hosp then DFAS (Defense Finance and Acctg) as an Accoutant until 2007 when I got BRAC'd. Decided to move to Ft Belvoir VA (12 miles south of DC) instead of moving to Columbus OH. That lasted about 6 long months. However, it was fun, got to see alot of things I probably would not have otherwise seen and "got some culture!" The White House Christmas Tree was awesome! ion and Production Service. I am a Supervisor Accountant for the finance division at PCola, Jacksonville and OK City. It's a big, demanding job, but I do like a good challenge - hence why I married Danny!! We moved to PCola Apr of 2008 and it's been great. We bought a 2600 sq ft home with IG pool! We visit the both beaches, Pcola beach and Perdido Key beach often. We both love the beach so this is a perfect fit for us. Sqeezed a few vacations in along the way. Few trips to Key West, went on a cruise to Bahamas - got seasick - don't think cruises are for me! Funny since we owned a couple of boats, didn't think I would get sick on a big boat like that - but I did! Visited Cancun and Pearl Harbor HI. I travel a good bit for my job, so luckily our cat Jazzie keeps Danny out of trouble while I'm gone!
