Donna's Story
Hello my fellow friends and classmates. I am so glad I found this website and hope this will reconnect me to some of my long lost friends from way back. I am Married to my husband of 30 years and share an interest in Jazz music and the arts as well as writing in Facebook. We both love our sweet cat Pumpkin and enjoy living in the Rocky Mountain terrain of Denver Colorado. I am working in the medical field formerly in community health care/mental health. currently working with cancer patients in Oncology. I love taking very long walks and wine tasting. I haven't found a Merlot I did not like. My favorite activity is to travel to Manitou Springs Colorado where I enjoy a variety of activities like wine tasting and outdoor festivals and walking near Pikes peak. There are also many clubs in Denver and I enjoy going as much as possible. I did massage therapy for about two years, then decided to go full time with community health care, now oncology. ducate and teach my patients. My husband is a full time Guitar teacher who travels to Africa, Albania, and Norway about once every two years. He also started up a non-profit organization that provides the funding to people overseas who are gifted musicians, but don't have the financial means to acquire musical instruments, i.e, MUSIC INTERNATIONAL.org. I did some mission work back in 1993 with my husband, we visited Russia and Estonia. We also visited a few orphanages while there. Overall I reflect on how the challenges of life gives one perspective. The most important thing in life I have not forgotten is to have a sense of humor and laugh as often as possible. Whenever possible I enjoy a good conversation just to catch up. I am excited at the possibility of hearing from or reconnecting to former classmates. I would also enjoy getting to know my former school buddies again.
I always wanted to be in the medical field when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
