Anne's Story
I'm in my fourth personhood now, wondering who I'll be. I was a child, then a wife to Bob, then Don's wife, and now widowed again. I don't think I can go back to being any of those Annes. It is sort of like jumping off the swing and wondering what I'll land on; once in the air, choices are pretty slim. Except I know that God will be in control, still and always.
February 2014: I started over again. I married Danny Bailey, the widower of my BFF/cousin, and moved to Saltillo MS, the county where my mother grew up. We enjoy parking the RV on the side of some lake or river and just watchin...Expand for more
g the world float by. A grandchild has made me a great-grandmother, so I know the season of my life are passing, but I don't aim to feel old, no matter how many birthdays I celebrate.
My celebration now is that I have another book coming out in a few weeks. I've written about how my village raised me, although I wasn't able to pull out the lessons they taught me until decades had passed. Look for TWIG BENDERS: THE VILLAGE THAT RAISED ME by Cate Bailey.
