Alan's Story

I moved to Incline Village (Lake Tahoe) a few years ago with my partner of eight years. I was tired of California taxes and the traffic! I started FileWorks in 1997 and am still acting as the CEO and chief software architect. I also am half owner with my partner in Seasons; a cute boutique store in town. I got my pilot license a few years ago, bought a Cirrus, and really enjoy flying. I've flown as far east as St. Paul, to the San Juans, Canyonlands, and Ve...Expand for more
gas (of course). I was into Tae Kwon Do back in high school, but stopped for over a decade as I pursued my career. I am now back on track taking Tang Soo Do (a Korean martial art). This is a great discipline, and I am fortunate to train under my talented instructor. I don't miss high school one bit and am happy with being in my thirties. Forty is coming--not so happy with that... I hope we have a 20 or 25 yr reunion. Unfortunately, I missed the 10-year.
