Pamela's Story

I went to school in Havelock from Havelock Elementary to Havelock High School. I was a military brat. I was a cheerleader with Tara McGarvey and many others. I have two children, Heather, who lives in North Carolina and Jason, who lives in Tennessee. I have 4 grandchildren who are the light of my life. Morgan and Graysen are Heather's daughters, and Rachel and Blayn are Jason's children. I live in Georgia so it is hard to see my kids and grandkids. My grandmother just passed and I went to Memphis for the funeral. I am the oldest grandchild, so it was very hard for me. She was the best meemaw I could have ever had. She will be missed. My sister, Kathy Myers Cunningham, lives in Georgia, just 4 miles from my house. I have logged on to Facebook as well, and if anyone is looking for me I was and now back known as Pamela Myers, a cheerleader at Havelock High, and nominated on the Sweetheart Court and Homecoming Court. Of course, I never won, but just being nominated were part of the best memories at Havelock High and I will never forget. I married Tommy Mylett in 1973 and the principal and office staff treated me so mean, after the 11th grade I never returned. I did however get my GED and went to State Technical Institute of Memphis and graduated with a 3.7 gpa with an Associates Degree in Computer Operations. I was best friends with Tara McGarvey, Elaine Ceselski and Donna G...Expand for more
lover. If anyone knows any of their whereabouts, please let me know. I dated Mike Jacobson for 1 1/2 years. He was my first true love. I have since found out that Mike died a few years ago. It just broke my heart. I also dated Jimmy Barber and Tommy Stroud. They were just the greatest and coolest guys ever. I have reconnected with Jimmy and Tommy on Facebook now. I was a paralegal for almost 18 years and a bookkeeper for almost 8 years. I injured my back and was diagnosed with a ruptured disc. I had to have 3 back surgeries since. Everything from there went downhill. I was diagnosed with systemic lupus. I no longer work so I have a lot of time on my hands. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, Facebook and anything of interest on the internet and painting. I love reading anything by Patricia Cornwell and Janet Evonovich. My sister and I love going to flea markets. She collects everything there is, but I collect spiral bound cookbooks. I'm not that good of a cook but I still collect cookbooks. Now, with the internet, you can find any recipe you could possibly think of, but there is just something about browsing through old cookbooks, especially the hand written ones. I'm through for now, but I'll be back and add some more information about me. Take care everyone and contact me anytime. I'm now on Facebook a lot and have hooked back up with so many of my high school friends.
