Linda's Story
Life is great and keeps getting better, I am married to a wonderful man, I have a wonderful family, lots of friends, a beautiful home, travel lots and drive my dream car.
For the last ten years my husband and I have resided in Cloverdale with an assortment of cats and frequently nieces, nephews, and cousins from all over Canada. We love it.
My son Denny is now 35 and lives in Vancouver with his girlfriend and dog. He is handsome and like all the males in my family is very charming and entertaining to be around. He has a hair salon in downtown Vancouver (he has a degree from SFU and was going to be a teacher)but something more fun came up. He lives near the salon and we see them almost every week.
My husband and I love to travel. We are planning a Mediterranean Wine tour cruise in May of 2011 to celebrate our 30th Aniversary and my 60th birthday. Most years we go south in the spring towing our Harley Davidson (HD) motorcycle. This year we are flying and meeting up with family from Nova Scotia in Las Vegas.
We will be making mini trips on the HD this summer, it is the only way to travel on BC Ferries. We also have two staycations booked this year, downtown Vancouver for the Jazz Festival and Whistler ...Expand for more
for the Wine Festival in November. And I of course make my way to Powell River almost once a month.
When we are home we love to cook, we are an excellent team and because we have got so good we don't dine out as often. We have lots of volunteer taste testers when we are experimenting with new dishes and the list is growing.
Dan and I are also avid gardeners. Two years ago we built a creek in our back yard, now I have a "water view". Dan does most of the planning we do the planting and we enjoy the riot of colours for many months. His next project is going to be an outdoor train through the garden, all the little boys in the neighbourhood will love that.
After many years of commuting into the city I now work from home. I have two home based businesses, I have been helping women look and feel better with Mary Kay Cosmetics since 1987 and bring healthier lives to all with Max International nutritional supplements. I also do contract computer work for a friend. With all the travel I do I am highly unemployable so being my own boss and working where ever I am works for me.
