Beth's Story
When we were young and at IA, we couldn't wait to graduate and be on our own. As we grow older, we realize how much fun we were having there. I remember someone throwing rocks at my window in the middle of the night, trying to wake me up. I also remember bon fires on the lake and trying my best to ice skate (not my specialty), but oh what fun it was!! I remember progressive parties, banquets, and lots of fun with GREAT friends!! I feel that losing my mother at the young age of 17 certainly routed my life in a different direction than were my plans. I just wanted to get married, have children and feel the LOVE I had lost when my mother passed!! And that is exactly what I did. I will have been married 39 years in August to the same man. He was in the navy when we married, so we lived in Norfolk, Va for three years. We had two children by the time he was out of the navy and three more after moving ...Expand for more
back home to Scottsburg, in. And believe it or not all five are girls. The most beautiful girls in the world!! (I'm not predjudice or anything) I am now the proud grandmother of nine beautiful grandchildren, believe it or not, mostly boys!!! I was away from the church for years, but am now back-trying to make up for lost time. I feel so much better about life with God in it with me!! I work for an ortho Dr, have worked for scott memorial hospital for 23 years now!! My favorite things to do are playing golf, working in my yard with flowers etc, playing with my grandchildren, and I try to run two or three miles every day!! I would love to hear from all my friends! Does anyone have an address for Melinda Denny, or Jan Broglin? I would love to get in touch with them!! P.S. I still enjoy riding horses, that will always be a passion of mine-I just like them a little more gentle now!! I Love you all!!
