Ashley's Story
I graduated high school and went to Northern Illinois to begin my next journey of completing my bachelor's degree in meteorology. With two courses away from a minor in math, I decided to tack that on too and graduated in 2005. While completing my degree, the summer of 2004, I went on my first storm chase with College of Dupage. That trip changed my life as I saw my first tornado (also my only tornado) and began dating my husband, Adam Ball, who was a student at COD. ificate as it was encouraged by my teachers but was too late to fit that in before graduation. I stuck around at NIU for another year and got my certificate. In the spring semester, I got a job in Naperville for a GIS Associate at a commercial real-estate company. That was a temporary job and I ended up finding my current job on Monster.com. I am working at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico as a GIS Technician for the company SAIC. I've been here for 2.5 years. I basically make maps for the base. I also got married back in Batavia on June 30, 2007.
