Alison's Story
After high school and some college, I started a 30 year long career in retail management, I enjoyed it because I got to meet a lot of people, customers and business associates, and learned a lot along the way. I met my husband, Pierre, at work. We will celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary in July. We have 3 cats and 2 nephews, and a grand-nephew.
Although retail was a fun, it is a physically demanding industry and at 52 years young I went back to school (office admin/accounting). I am a Customer Service & Accounts Receivable clerk for a physiotherapy supplies company. I also do volunteer tutoring, focusing on literacy and computer skills, for The learning Exchange. It's fun and very rewarding.
My new hobby is researching my ancestry and I have connected with...Expand for more
several cousins on my maternal side, one here in Montreal, that I never knew existed! It's been very exciting. I've been able to establish our maternal family lineage back to Ireland, circa 1875.
I think about old school days often and wonder about old friends. I'm not sure how I'm remembered by my former classmates, but I hope it's as fondly as I remember you all. I would love to hear from you, what you've been up to for the past 3+ decades!
The 2010 reunion was a lot of fun. It was also very surreal. We had about 20 people in our class picture. It was too bad that many of our classmates didn't come. But to all of you that were there, it was great to see you again!
