Robert's Story
I met my wife and best friend in California when I was stationed at a Naval base there. We were married several years later. We have two sons and just became Grandparents for the first time last October. What a cutie she is!
After my time was up in U.S. Navy I joined up with the California Air National Guard for eighteen years as a reservist. I was honored to fly in an F-16, went to Curacao in the Caribbean, Prince Sultan in Saudi Arabia along with being in Hawaii.
My regular job; I worked at a car dealership for twenty-six years and then moved on to work for a school district in the transportation dept. I really enjoy this job. e a pain at times. Payback I guess for my past! I miss that but moved on into a management position and don't have that particular opportunity any more.
We enjoy traveling on vacations or coming home to spend time with my family and seeing sights that I hadn't as a child. I especially enjoy the farms and the country side. I guess that's just the country boy in me.
As a youngster I enjoyed CARS and still do if it is about a 3-window 34 Ford Coupe that I have my sights on owning some day. Now the old John Deere's are appealing to me as well. Especially if I had my Dad's old model "B" that I drove around at home growing up. My wife and I want to have a small farm with 5-10 acres when we retire. OH! As Paul Harvey would say "That is the rest of the Story"
