Wendy's Story
I am currently employed at the United States Postal Service. I have worked as a clerk at the post office for 11 1/2 years. I worked as the acting Postmaster at a small office for 1 yr. I am in the process of trying to get a Postmaster job, as soon as one becomes available. My husband Terry also works at the USPS, but in a different office. He is a city mail carrier and walks 14 miles/day.
We have been married for almost 22yrs.(April 25).
I have 3 boys. Jordan is 21 and will graduate from...Expand for more
Illinois Institute of Technology this summer/fall. He has been working in his field of study since the end of his freshman year. He is a web-designer at a company in Chicago. Nicholas is 20. He is getting married in August. Jacob is 18. He is home-schooled and will graduate this spring, as soon as he takes his "exit exam".
I remember people talking about the "empty nest" feeling, but I must tell you, I love it! I really should sell my house, though, because it is too big for two people.
