Margaret's Story
After high school, I attended SMU and got a music degree. I followed that with a Master's Degree in Arts Administration from NYU. My 4 years in NYC were a load of fun. I worked for Carnegie Hall and then NYC Ballet. I met my husband, Bryan, who hails from Sachse, just 20 miles from Ursuline! We got married in NYC and then left within the year for London.
Overseas in England, Bryan and I travelled extensively around the UK and Europe. Robert, Anna and Theresa were born in Kingston, London. We loved our time there and would return anytime. We chose to return stateside in May 2001.
Since returning to TX, Elizabeth and Nathan have been born to round out our family and give Bryan the "boys and girls" he's always wanted. I've done a little bit, okay lots, of volunteer work at the kids' elementary school. I've also joined a fund raising committe at SMU with a goal of $2....Expand for more
1M for a new Band Hall and then $3.5M for Band scholarships.
Last year, 2008, I started my own business, just for a few extra dollars in the budget. I now sell Mary Kay cosmetics and love the company! It's founded on the Golden Rule - we all know that after all those hours of theology classes! Truly I have time now for "God first, family second and career third." I'm on my way to Sales Director by the end of this year. I get to make money and still be the at-home mom I love for all my kids.
So if you are looking for a new Mary Kay consultant, want to just try out some new colors, or need a whole new approach to your skin care and color - call me. I'd love to be the one helping you out.
And if the call is just to reconnect and catch up on the past 24 (OH MY GOSH!) years, great. I can't wait to hear from all of you.
