Douglas's Story
I am 41 and wondering where the last 24 years have gone. I'm married for 17 years. 4 Kids and 3 grandchildren. I work for USPS as a mailman. Worked here for 16 years now. Only been a mailman for 10. Let me give 20 years in a few sentences. After graduation, one semester at college. That didn't work so well. Next was 4 year in the Marine Corps from 1988 to 1992. Shortly after getting out meet wife and within a year married. It has been 17 years now. After getting out of Marines worked at DP for 6 months then Victaulic in Albutis for about 2 years till I got full time at USPS in October 1994. In January of 1993 I got started delivering mail as a Rural Carrier did that till about mid June 94 when they found out I was working as a RCA and a clerk at the REC site. hey were closing the REC's down to consolitate them. I like beening a mailman. Well I guess that's about where we are today. Great to hear from anyone from HS.
Ok I guess I could just delete that pervious paragraph and just write a new story but then the story would be incomplete. So I will just add to the story. Most of that story is the same however I am now divorced. My daughter is living with me and not her mother, as well as our youngest son. As divorces go it only took 4 months which I think was pretty quick and didn't cost all that much either. My middle son will be getting married on Oct 15, 2010. Being single again isn't as much fun as people think it is. I was married for a long time and I miss the couple thing. I never did single well. Still think it would be great to hear from anyone from HS.
