Catherine's Story
Briefly, 'cause how can you really do justice to 40+ years in a few sentences? After college (U of F - Go Gators!) I moved to Tampa for my first teaching position. My BS is in psychology and my M.Ed. is in teaching children with emotional problems. I taught in the psychiatric ward for children where I met my husband, Roger, who was the clinical social worker on the unit. Good family joke: dad and I met on the psych ward. I retired after 30+ years and now I enjoy life with my husband of 37 years (who has parkinson's disease). Our children are a bit spread out: El...Expand for more
len is in Homosassa (2 kids); Jason is in Oldsmar (2 kids); Karen is in Ft.Lauderdale, just got married. I taught CCD at our church, St.Lawrence, for quite a few years. Now I sleep in on Sunday as I am the cantor for the Sunday evening Mass. I do some volunteering and Roger & I deliver lunches for Meals on Wheels on Thursdays. Currently I work 2 days a week at USF Dept of Psychiatry as the educator on an evalution team. I still keep in touch with Linda Heindl (Woodard)and JoAnne Lison (Baxter) and Diane Lopez (Vohland) and Pat (Limegrover)from our graduating class.
