Melissa's Story
Graduated, roamed around, gravitated to East Texas, then Oklahoma, then meandered my way to Michigan.
Married a Michigan man who's a graduate of the University of Michigan. "Go Blue". College Football is our sweet addiction. If the Lions ever straighten up and learn to play football, we may include them. The Sooners hold a sweet piece of my heart, as an Oklahoma Gal.
I will admit, I miss Friday Night Lobo games. The roar of the crowd, the band rippling out notes of Hawaii Five 'O and the tenacious sink drummer keeping tempo with the band. ...Expand for more
Those were the days.
I've a thirty year old son who stays with his grandma, in Oklahoma. My bonus son is 31 and lives in Virginia. I wanted twelve boys, but ended up with two. My life is full.
I still wonder about Mary Torres, Norma Morales, Betty Gomez and my cousin Paul Harris. Where has the world taken you and what are you up to?
I still think about past teachers and hope their life has been richly rewarded for all the hard work put into teaching, coaching and bus driving ( Mr. Peek) Schooling is a hazardous profession these days.
