Anthony Cook:  

I've lived in Rockcastle County for over 15 years,was born originally from Elmhurst,Illinois. I graduated from RCHS ranking academically in the lower half of my class of 202 total students of the 35th graduating class of Rockcastle County High School in 2007 as a two-sport athlete (football,basketball). I was a member on two regional championship teams,on the football team for 4 years being selected on the MSFCA South All-Stars team during my junior football season and earned KHSAA Insight Academic All-State Honorable Mention during my senior football season. During those last two seasons on the varsity team,we as a team only lost 5 games out of 27 while winning 22 of them. On the basketball team,I was a member for 4 years excelling on 2 regional tournament finals,3 district tournament finals,1 region title,3 district runner-ups,and a state tournament appearance. I was also an partial area technology center welding student from 2005-2007 earning 3 certificates and some college credit hours under welding teacher Sherman Cook and RATC principal Ralph Baker. Since commencement from RCHS, I've worked two jobs,got married to Robyn Renee Sturgill for almost a year now and been attending Somerset Community College since 01/14/2008 currently pursuing an Associate's Degree of Applied Science with an emphasis in Welding Technology and will graduate in December of 2010. I currently still live in Rockcastle County and when I achieve my post-secondary education credentials,I plan to find a good welding job out of Rockcastle,move into that somewhere environment and start a family,work for about 10-15 years in the welding industry and hopefully get a higher position with the experience someday in th...Expand for more
