Denise's Story

I hope old friends remember me as fun, but not weird, and as somebody they trusted. I always wanted to be a DJ when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.. To blow off steam, I sit back with a hot cuppa tea and a good book. The wildest thing I ever did in school was to skip Home Ec class and head up to the Snack Bar with Lucy, Darlene, Norma and Sue. My family and I have lived in St. John's,NL ; Peace River, Alberta; and now in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Paula Kenway, because we used to be so close.. My biggest surprise is finding out that I am not as smart as I thought I was! ot sweat the small stuff! I'd love to see Mr. John Lynch again, because he was an amazing teacher who made me feel like a real person and not just another dumb kid. If I won $100 million, I'd give one million of it to charity, then spend the rest on my kids' education, a fun vacation and save the rest for the future.. My current age is 44. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be ancient and feeble. I was so completely wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm quiet, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aloof. Style? Ha. My style is whatever mood I'm in today. Once, I had a job doing allergy tests on little kids. Not fun! I share my home with my family, which I find wonderful and comforting.
