Pamelia's Story
After graduating in '73, I attended Jackson State Community College. During the summer between my Freshman and Sophomore yrs I married my first husband(Allen Stewart). Shortly after marriage, Allen went to work with a large international construction firm and we "followed the work" for the next 7 years. We averaged a move every 6 months and lived in FL,SC,NC,GA,TN,and Seattle. In 1977 my son(Sean)was born. In 1981 we moved to Crystal River,FL where my daughter (Leigh) was born. (I named my daughter after Leigh Little. I always thought that was such a beautiful, simple name). I graduated RN school in 1986; divorced in 1989; remarried in 1999. My husband (Bruce Payne) and I live in Citrus County, FL. He is Director of Tennis at one of the finest tennis clubs in FL. I am a Nurse A...Expand for more
dministrator for a physician- owned ambulatory surgery center. I developed a passion for tennis while in nursing school and have been an avid player since. Along with tennis I try to stay in shape by working out with my personal trainer 2-3 days/wk, rollerblading and power walking. Since graduating from JCM I have made my way back to Jackson from time to time (moved back there a couple of times during my first marriage)and visited my son when he attended Union University on a baseball scholarship between 1996 and 2000. My son, his wife, and my 3yr old granddaughter live in Nashville, TN where I visit several times/yr. My daughter lives near Orlando and graduated from UCF last December. Life is really good and I could not be happier. Hope all is well with all my '73 classmates. Pam
