Brenda's Story
After high school, my mother and I moved to Venus, Texas (little town Southeast of Fort Worth). I got a job in downtown Dallas working for an insurance company. I really thought I was something special. Every payday I bought a new pair of shoes!!
I met my first husband the following year and we had two girls (Melissa and Pamela). Unfortunately our marriage did not last long, so I moved back in with my mother, still in Venus. I continued to work for the insurance company in downtown Dallas. After several years, I met and married my second husband. He was in the Air Force so we promptly moved to Biloxi, Mississippi where my third daughter (Leah) was born. After living in Biloxi for about a year, we were transferred to Abilene, Texas. Wow, what a different area!

divorced so I raised my 3 girls as a single mom. We lived in Abilene for 15 years. I was fortunate enough to go to work for a lawfrim in Abilene and became a paralegal. My primary focus was doing real estate transactions. I worked there for 12 years and then was offered a job with a title company in Plano, Texas.
While working on a commercial real estate transaction, I met my third (and hopefully last) husband. He was an attorney for his client and asked me out for lunch after the closing. We have now been married for 26 years.
We are lucky enough to have 3 beautiful grandchildren, two who live close by and we get to see often.
I have very fond memories of my days at Poly and remember some great friends. I'm sorry to miss the 50th reunion but will be thinking of everyone - have fun!
