Sara's Story
I would have to say my life really began 29 July 04; which is when I joined the US Army. I am currently a SGT deployed to Iraq on my second deployment. But lets take it back to the beginning. I spent 9 weeks of Basic Training in Ft. Jackson, SC. I then transferred to Ft. Gordon, GA to complete 27 weeks of AIT where i learned my job as a radio repairer. I let went psycho (lol) and went for 3 weeks of training at Ft. Benning GA completing my Airborne qualification. I was then assigned to Ft. Richardson, AK for 3 yrs. and have completed a total of 13 airborne jumps at the altitude of 1000-1200 ft. There i deployed to Iraq in 07-08 for a 15 month deployment. and rocketed weekly. Upon returning a few months later i transferred to my current duty station in Ft. Lewis, WA. Where not 2 weeks later deployed for the 2nd time to Iraq for 12 months and will be returning to the states around the end of Aug 09. Ive been married for 4 yrs and will divorcing his stupid ass.
As of right now I can expect my next deployment to be in Afghanistan. Also Im training out here for 3-4 months so far to be a boxer and had my first boxing match in front of 1700 people (omg) and got beat...but what an experience.
