Anna's Story
I didn't take Clay County High School seriously. It was a phase for me. I don't mean academic wise, I mean socially. I did alot of self discovering, making bad decisions and rebelling alittle,from my strick upbringing. I am totally a different person than I was then. I am happily married to a wonderful man. We have four children ages 10-2. He is an Optometrist and I am a stay at home mom. My kids are my life. They are so much fun. Wouldn't trade my life for anything. I have learned not to judge people on their outward appearance,but to look deeper inside and their character will speak for themselves. ything. I lost my sister-in-law Amy Hicks (Baker) to a drunk driver. She was like a sister to me; or even closer. My life has never been the same since she was torn away from us and if I could say anything to make a difference in someones life it would be please don't drive drunk. A drunk driver took her life and left a young baby to be raised by a young father and grandparents. Amy was a good person. She didn't deserve to die so young. I will greive until the day I see her again. But life must go on and each day I see the sun rise and when I get to see her little girl she left behind, I look into her big blue eyes and I know that Amy lives on through her.
