Blythe's Story
After graduating from Grantham High School in 1968 I headed to BC with Jim Shepard (he graduated from Grantham in 1965). We divorced in 1987, have three children now ages 34, 37, and 40. I trained as a special education teacher and then went on to complete a Masters in Counselling Psychology and a PhD in Educational Psychology. After graduation, I obtained a faculty position at UVIC and was there for 6 years....Expand for more
I am now at the University of Lethbridge in the Faculty of Education (Counselling). I miss BC, but I am close to the mountains and really enjoy hiking (and cross country skiing) when I find the time. My mother has lived with me since 1999 ¿ so I also balance caregiving with my work. All my children live in Victoria and I get down there several times a year to visit and to hang out with my two grandchildren.
