Kathy is from New Braunfels, Texas. She is married with James Googins. Her schools include New Braunfels High School. She later attended Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale, VA (Telephone Call Center Management), Schreiner University (B.A. Psychology). She works(ed) at Military Veteran Peer Network (Texas Hill Country), Express Search, Hill Country Mental Health Mental Retardation.

have been helped out of the pit of depression by a peer veteran. Through Cognitive Processing Therapy, I learned to look at life with a healthier perspective. I realized I had been acting on my emotions as well as making decisions with emotional thinking. Not wise.
I am a Survivor of MST. The road to recovery isn't easy but it's worth it. You are not alone. Now it's my turn to give back. I will be volunteering through the MVPN in Kerr county and in Fredericksburg.
