Patty's Story
While I was at Poly, I skated and swam on the swim team. I ended up teaching skating part time.
When I got out of Poly, I went to LBCC for a couple of semesters and then dropped out. Didn't know what I wanted and knew what I really wanted to do was out of my reach. I would have liked to be a medical researcher.
Started volunteering at LB Free Clinic and became one of the "pillars". Then I got a real paying job at a psych hospital, then as an insurance billing clerk. Then my big break! Communications operator at the LB police. Early equivalent of 911 operator...Expand for more
. Was there for 7 1/2 years and burnt out.
Worked for LB Memorial as parking lot attendant, and after kissing many frogs, met up with my frog prince! I had a Human Resources clerking type job and then got married to my prince (an electronics engineer) and have 3 girls, 22, 21 and 20 all away at college (except now when they are all home for summer!)
I am now the executive manager of the executive of Ronney and Ronney Enterprises!
I have so many fond snapshots of the days at Washington Jr. and Poly.
I hope to share those memories with the people who were there.
