Doug's Story
I was drafted into the Army in 1969, and went to Viet Nam. In 1971 I started working with Gary Ogden at Firestone. I was a store manager with the Company for 30 years. I managed a store in downtown Denver, then in Columbine. In August of 1985, I transfered to LA. I managed 3 stores in LA, Norhridge, Thousand Oaks, and the City of Orange. re. Then after a short time in Aurora, I took the Chapel Hills Store, in Colorado Springs, and stayed there until I retired in August of 2001. During those 30 years I was married, for 13 years, and have 2 children. My son is a cop for Fedral Heights, and daughter is a RN at porters Hospital. Since I retired from Firestone, I had my own busness, and sold cars. I retired again, in January of 2009.
