Karen's Story
Still in N. O. area. Jerry's retired reading, taking guitar lessons, crossword puzzles, and keeping up with his mom and I'm keeping up with the kids and grands. I married Jerry Edmonds for those of you that don't know. I bowl, read and play piano at church and spend quite a bit of time doing something at church. I still am the volunteer that became permanent for so long. We have 3 kids, Tonyah, Matthew and Tamara. Tonyah has a 19 year old and Matt and his wife Sandy have Mandy 10, and Hayden 6. works where Jerry did. Tami and Matthew both live about 1 hour away and my mother-in-law and Jerry's sister live 15 mins. away. We were affected by Katrina and were out of the house for 1 yr. Taylor was extremely sick at that time which made it a lot easier to deal with. We lost nothing that had any major value for us, except having to gut and rebuild the house. We were lucky, we got an apt. where Tami had one, everyone still had their jobs and Taylor is doing well after a long illness. That pretty much tells you about my life in general.
