HI EVERYONE, As you can tell music plays a large part in my life as it did back "in the day". It's also quite apparent that THE KINKS have a very special place in my heart. That has to do with the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. That Sweet Heart is Katie Richards. She was a HUGE Kinks fan and I am proud to say that she is my daughter. On July 3 2007 she passed away at 14 years old. When she had to do a project for her 8th grade English class (music & lyrics , the impact on society) she went right to Ray and the boys. The tune, "Education" off of the "Schoolboys In Disgrace" CD, her grade A+ (sweet) !!! If I could, I would like to be able to thank Ray Davies for his ability through music to have such a positive impact on such a special little girl. It was great to see her smile and laugh at Rays little digs on life. Katie will be missed more then anyone could imagine, but with the Kinks, those sweet memory's are just a "push of a button" away.
