Candace's Story

First of all you are right I don't look anything like I did in High School,But who does it's been forty-one years and it seems like it was just last week.I married right out of high school like alot of us did!I married Allen Campbell,we had two children,Allen and Justine. we were divorced in 1984. Until then I was a stay at home mom 24/7.So now I have to find a JOB???.Well I did find a job at Spiral Ind. located in Milford I hired in as leader of assembly. Then I took some classes and became a Quialty Control Recieving inspector. While I was working there I ment the second love of my life Matthew Doyon whom I also married in 1986 and moved off of Dean Dr.in Highland which I had been there all of my life, because when I was married to Allen Campbell we bought the house right across the street from my mothers house!!! Matt and I bought a house in Fenton on lake Phomeah. We both worked at Spirals until 1994 then we purchased a marina on lake Phomeah which had a camp ground docking for boats, a store, a service dept. boat rentals etc. We had that for a while then sold it.He went to work and I decided to baby sit my first grandson until he went to school and then of coarse a second grandson was born so I also watched him until he started school 2005.Matt and I seperated and I then divorced him after twenty three years of marriage being single again I then had to find another JOB!!!.So I Took the job I have now and I have been here just a little o...Expand for more
ver 10 years and I love it.I manage an apartment complex a very small one.I still stay in contact with Mary Lawson(Ihrke) of coarse I have known her forever and she is one of the lucky ones she is still married to her child hood sweet heart, as is also Diane Naile and Nina Thurston and a few others Lucky Them and my hat is off to them.If I ever have the chance to marry again I would in a heart beat even after what I have been through with both of my husbands I still believe there is a good man out there somewhere and I just might find him. I did go to our 10-year class reunion with Allen and also our 20- year class reunion with Matt and our very very small 40-year class reunion in which not much of any of our classmates showed up.I do believe for that one there wasn't enough notice given. I only heard about it though my brother Virgil who heard about it thur Barry Crabtree which I hadn't seen or heard from in 20-years and then to find out the night before that was short notice but I did attend and had a great time with the class mates who did show up.I do take care of myself,I also love who I am and no hang ups or regrets. The things I love the most in the world are , MY FAMILY,MY CHILDREN,MY GRAND CHILDREN,My Friends a Good dinner and conversation a good day at the lake,Garage Sales,Snowmobeling, Dancing,Christmas always and God whom has bestowed all these blessing on to me over the past years 47 years .Hope to here from some one.
