Valerie's Story

. My dad...He was my inspiration... He was my mentor growing up... When i was a teenager in Westhampton Beach.. we fished together... taught me to water ski... taught me to drive... how to cook.. how to skin fish....we clammed together.... I joined the Air Force after high school... Been married and divorced twice Had 6 kids have 2 grand kids....Now i'm living in Catskill NY....LAST JULY 2011I REMARRIED FOR THE 3RD TIME...IM VERY HAPPY--STILL LIVING IN CATSKILL.... I WAS ON JR PROM COMMITTEE IN 1973...I WAS ON THE DRILL TEAM 73-74........ MY SISTER WILLA GRADUATED IN75 WENT TO OSWEGO FOR COLLEGE--SHE GRADUATED IN 79 MARRIED DAN SMITH AUG 79--HE'S THE BROTHER OF DAVID SMITH.... SHE AND DAN HAVE 2 SONS..JUST CELEBRATED THEIR 32ND ANNIVERSARY.....WAY TO GO SIS.....OUR MOM HAS BEEN LIVING WITH HER SINCE 1995---AFTER OUR DAD PASSED AWAY DEC 8 1994...... MY HIGHSCHOOL HISTORY TEACHER-MR. rson from my past who I'd most like to see again is BEVERLEY TRAIN, because WE WERE IN GIRLSCOUTS TOGETHER...ALWAYS HAD A BLAST..... I'M INTO HARLEYS...TATTOOS....COUNTRY MUSIC....COOKING...AND NASCAR.... MY BIGGEST SURPRISE AND SHOCK...THINKING MY MARRIAGE TO MICHAEL COFFEY WOULD LAST FOREVER'''AFTER 16YRS OF MARRIAGE---AT THE AGE OF 40---HE LEFT ME FOR A 23YR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I share my home with MICHAEL BURKE, which I find THAT IT FEELS LIKE WE'VE BEEN MARRIED FOREVER...BEEN TOGETHER 2 YRS NOW....I'M 57-HE'S 32... U DO THE MATH(LOL).... IF I COULD DO IT OVER---I'D MAKE THE AIR FORCE MY CAREER---- CATHY---WE ONLY KNEW EACH OTHER FOR A FEW MONTHS---AFTER SHE MOVED WE WROTE ALL THE TIME(WE MET IN HIGHSCHOLL IN 19700....even thou we haven't seen each other in yrs---we're still 'BEST BUDS'.... MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY---LIVING IN JAPAN(1963-1967)...I'M AN AIR FORCE BRAT....ALWAYS WILL BE.... I always wanted to be a nun when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were let down....i changedmy mind and joined the air force.
