Katherine's Story
Another update, if anyone is reading. I'm writing my cancer journey on a caringbridge site. kat2009.
This is an update of what I already wrote. It's now August 16th. If all goes well I'll fly to Eugene on the 19th. I've just finished surgery and yes, it's cancer, but my Oncology Surgeon says coming to the 50th will be good for me, yahoo. Looking forward to seeing you all. Kat
It's July already. Husband is getting ready for his 40 mile bike ride and I'll submit another article to a magazine. So what else happens in my world? Thirty hours a week I'm a medical billing specialist, at least thirty hours a week I'm an author. Each week I try for a speaking engagement, too. That keeps me busy. In between I manage time for husband, Gary, a cancer support group, family and church. Hmmm, how did church become last, not sure:)

ave asked for major accomplishments in my life. For years I said nothing, but it's not true. I'm mother of three and grandmother to six and they are all really good people, that's major. I'm still married to the same guy I dated in high school. That's huge.
Husband chose the ministry when our oldest was 13, I received a huge degree PHT (Put Hubby Through) and I have the paper to prove it.
I've learned many crafts and turned them into $ by teaching others.
One of my biggest accomplishments happened because I survived the caregiving journey. Once more I'm taking teaching what I learned to others. I hold Caregiver Seminars. I'm one ordinary person, but before I leave this earth, I want to create an awareness of the needs of caregivers.
That's my story for today. Looking forward to August 22nd.
