Lisa's Story
After high school, I attended Coahoma Jr. College and Alcorn State University and graduate with a degree in Accounting. Since June 1987, I have been employed with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) as an auditor. Currently, I am a Financial Advisory Services Officer for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a division within DHHS located in Rockville, Maryland. Working for the Federal Government for over 22 years has allowed me to travel throughout the United States.
For pleasure, I have been blessed to travel to Italy, Greece, Turkey, West Africa (Ghana), Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Martin, and Puerto Rico.

For nine years, I attended the Maryland Theological Seminary (MTS) located in Baltimore, Maryland. From MTS, I received a Bachelor of Theology (May 2003); a Master of Religious Education (May 2005); a Master of Divinity (May 2007), and a Doctor of Divinity (May 2008).
On August 3, 2004, I was installed as the first African American female chaplain for the Howard County Police Department.
On September 13, 2008, I was blessed to become the wife of Rev. Jerald D. Stallworth, the pastor of the Selma Community Bible Church located in Selma, Alabama. I have two step-daughters: Monique and Michelle.
I currently resides between Ellicott City, Maryland and Selma, Alabama.
