Sabrina's Story
Hi! After finally graduating from college at the ripe old age of 28, I began teaching in Cape Girardeau, where I met my husband to be. Mike and I were married on Aug. 9, 1886 and celebrated our 23rd anniversary this year. We live in Pickerington, Ohio, and we have two sons-Josh is a freshman at Ohio University (no-not Ohio State-too big!) and Dylan is a junior in high school. I am a special education teacher at small high school near here. My husband still works for the parent company of Tri-Con (in Cape-remember?) in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I try to get back to Missouri every summer for a week and we all go at Christmas. I look forward to our next class reunion because the last ones have been a lot of fun-seeing old friends and making new ones. It's strange to see how everyone has changed, yet stayed the same. I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a reasonable idea. As it turns out, they were life stories.
I rarely have any "steam" to blow off at home, but when something at work gets to me, I come home and get busy cleaning, walking or cooking.
I rarely get "steamed" and certainly not at home. When something at work gets to me, I come home and get busy-cleaning, cooking, gardening-whatever, til I cool off.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have quiet, respect, and support from coworkers to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I don't have any specific hero. There have been people who have been heroes to me at different times in my life-my brother Kirk for example, my mom, my dad, my husband-people who write the wonderful books I love to read are probably my all-time heroes.
