The Early Years: the summer of 48 thru the summer of 63.
Once upon a time, in the land of Northern Liberties, a son was born to a German pickle packer and his loving Irish wife. They called their son; Picklefingers Jr., a cucumber ripe off the vine.
At the tender age of five, Northern Liberties became too small to hold P.Jr. and his princess sister, Linda. The family was forced to move deeper into the land of the Lenape. P.Jr. thrived attending Rosemont Elementary; located on the high side of the great HILL of Garrett.
It was not long thereafter, that the kind but misguided Irish Wife was compelled to sentence P.Jr. to a life of servitude. As an indentured slave, P.Jr. toiled for St. Thomas of Villanova. St. Thomas' parochial compound was located at the bottom of the infamous HILL of Garrett. Each day, for eight long & tedious years, P.Jr. slaved at the compound; then at the end of each day was forced to climb the torturous HILL. Like Sisyphus before him, this daily drudgery did not kill him; it only made him stronger.
