Charlene's Story
I married in 1970 and had two children. I returned to school to become an L.P.N. and worked for 28 years at the Eleanor Slatter Hospital. I married my husband Norman October 28, 1978. He adopted my two children and I was so happy to have three wonderful step children. We became the "Picard Bunch" which has now resulted in 10 Grandchildren and more expected.I worked for 10 years as a special court appointed advocate for abused children, I was a mentor at the prison for several years,I opened and ran the West Warwick Right to Life Services for 6 years with Margaret Lane as my office manager. I taught CPR and First Aid for many years with my husband Norman. I returned to school and obtained an associate degree in mental Health counseling, and a B.S.W. (social work) with a minor in criminal justice.
